We had a gorgeous 2 night stay at Hotel Coralina Island. It is an idyllic location and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special and welcomed by the friendly and super attentive staff. We had a sun lounge area reserved with our name for our arrival, for us to use until our room and private deck were available. The warm welcome from Christian with a glass of wine while he provided helpful information about our stay was much appreciated. Erika was also always around and so helpful and attentive. As mother and daughter we booked a room which I believe is in the ‘romantic area’ on the shoreline, with a double bed and a separate single bed. The room was beautiful and the double bed was super sized, so actually no need for us to have booked to have the extra single bed. Our deck area, while absolutely gorgeous, was slightly shadier than the others nearby and not quite the best view of the sunset. A few steps away, and also from some of the restaurant tables, more than delivered on this of course! The snorkelling and swimming along the shoreline from our room to the shared lounger areas/decks was a highlight for us and having kayaks and masks/snorkels available for guests was a great bonus. The windy conditions meant that the bioluminescence trip was not running while we were there but we appreciated everything available around the hotel and the slightly livelier bar area a few minutes walk away. All was very quiet from 8pm onwards but that also more than suited us. The coffee lounge and bar area with free filter coffee and chilled drinking water was very welcome. Breakfast and restaurant meals were of a very high standard with courteous and helpful staff, as was the norm throughout the hotel. We had stayed a few nights in another hotel before arriving at Coralina and the short private boat transfer was arranged for us by the Coralina hotel with a small extra charge -it was super efficient and felt quite special!

We went to Coralina Island about three weeks ago for one night. We loved it so much that we came back for two nights. This slice of tranquility and peace is a welcome contrast to mad Cartagena. Don’t expect hot showers with high pressure. This is a tiny island. Anyway it’s hot, so it’s great to have a warm shower. The sea around the hotel is perfect for swimming, something lacking in Cartagena. There is scuba diving , kayaking, massages available. The food is good although expect to pay a lot more than Cartagena. I think the hotel needs to review their prices as it is overpriced. This would really make a difference to the guests. Staff are friendly. Erika as always is the star performer. To be honest I thought she was the manager as she does so much. The others around reception are just not so engaged. A pity as with more passion this would really help the hotel. In summary a great chill out place.

Coralina Island is the perfect place to recharge your batteries in a stunning, natural environment. The turquoise waters of the Caribbean are gorgeous for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking and we loved reading on our deck looking out at the ocean. Sunsets were exceptional - helped by the delicious cocktails - and it was lovely to have the option of visiting the beach on the other side of the island for the morning sun. The charismatic Erica and her dedicated team of staff went out of their way to make us feel special and ensure we made the most of our stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very good (especially the fish and seafood) considering the logistical challenges the chef must face. We would recommend the panoramic tour of the Islas del Rosario to learn more about this special place and see some amazing birds and fish.

We stayed for a full week, aiming to just chill out, read, swim, eat, maybe even get bored. It all worked out perfectly, apart from the getting bored aspirations. Coralina Island is the perfect place to wind down, hang out, study the feeding habits of pelicans or the cunning hunting strategies of the garfish with frigates and vultures soaring high above. Aside from the odd boat filled with people drinking aguardiente while bouncing to autotune-driven beats coming by (we're still in Colombia) it's utterly peaceful and the perfect place to forget about the world. On the way back, don't sit in the back on the left in the boat or be prepared to be soaked when you reach Cartagena lol. We'd like to especially thank all the lovely staff who've made our stay at Coralina everything we wished for and more <3

The location is beautiful, just the perfect spot to enjoy the Caribbean sea. The restaurant is nice, the beach chairs are comfy and the transportation went smoothly. What really makes this hotel stand out though is the staff: I’ve never met a more engaged, professional, and kind team. We’ve felt exceptionally well taken care of. My friend unfortunately required medical attention, which could have been a problem on an island like this, but the hotel immediately supported us with dedicated medical staff, a doctor on the line and everything at hand to help her feel better. Especially Erika made our stay really special, making sure we always had everything we needed for the perfect vacation. Thank you!
